    Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) were established by the Government of India in 1963 with the primary goal of providing quality education to the children of transferable central government employees. These schools operate under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), which is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education.

The genesis of Kendriya Vidyalayas is rooted in the need for a uniform and high standard of education across the country, especially for families that relocate frequently due to their parents’ jobs. The idea was to provide a consistent and standardized curriculum to ensure continuity in education despite the frequent relocations.Initially set up to cater to the needs of children of defence personnel and central government employees, the scope of KVs was later expanded to include children of other categories of central government employees and a broader section of society.

The KVs follow a standardized curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and aims to impart holistic education by focusing on academic excellence, co-curricular activities, and character development. Over the decades, Kendriya Vidyalayas have grown significantly in number and scope, establishing themselves as a Brand model in the field of education for centralized education in India.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Nasik Road Camp was one of the 20 Regimental schools with which KVs started its journey in 1963. The school then was located within the Arty Centre. Within a few years , the school shifted its location outside the Arty Centre in Vadner Dhumala. These Regimental schools since 1964 came to be called as central schools ( Kendriya Vidyalaya) under the Ministry of Education. Over the years the school has expanded in terms of infrastructure as well as number of students. The development of infrastructure has been a significant focus, with efforts to provide modern facilities, libraries, science labs, Computer labs,Maths lab, Jr. Science lab art room and sports amenities. The school has developed its own nursery, kitchen, nutrition and butterfly gardens .In recent years, our school has integrated digital tools and online resources to enhance the learning experience, adapting to the evolving educational landscape. Recently 450 schools were renamed as PM SHREE KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS and our school is one of them. Keeping in view NEP 2020 , Balvatika 3 has been started in our school since last year i.e 2023-2024 to give the much needed importance to the Foundational years of children. BALA concept has been well developed in the school and a print rich environment is provided to the students. Interactive panels, to integrate technology in teaching and to make classroom learning more interesting is made available in the school. A Toy library and a Resource Room has also been developed in the school so that students become involved learners and this way learning lasts longer. The legacy of KVNRC includes a commitment to academic excellence, inclusivity, developing Indianness among the students and adaptability in the face of changing educational needs.
